Recap for the month since introducing Predictions by Hodl Hodl
A little more than a month ago, on June 24th, we introduced our new project “Predictions by Hodl Hodl” and we would like to summarize the results and share some of the information with our customers.
For everyone,
who is not acquainted with this project yet, we suggest you read our introductory blog post, explaining our solution, use cases and workflow.
The only things we would like to highlight here:
- Predictions by Hodl Hodl is available for everyone;
- In order to create the offers and accept existing ones, you only need an account (takes 30 seconds to create);
- Payouts are only made in Bitcoin;
Let’s move on.
Offers
Starting from the 24th of June, there have been more than 30 offers created, on completely different topics:
- Price of Bitcoin reaches $50,000 USD by the Bitcoin halving in May 2020;
- Chelsea will win against Liverpool in 2019 UEFA Super Cup on 14 August;
- Apple’s market cap will hit 1 trillion USD by the end of 2019;
And others.
Contracts
In total, we already had more than 15 predictions made on predictions.hodlhodl.com, based on assumptions made with the direction of movement chosen: predictions related to cryptocurrency prices (especially, Bitcoin) are the most demanded offers.
Five of them are already completed, with a total volume equal to 0.5 BTC.
Current work
In the initial blog post, related to rolling out the project to the public, on the 24th of June, we shared our roadmap, which consisted of these things:
- Lightning Network integration
- Mobile application (yes, you’ve heard right)
- API
- Simplification of the interface
Everything stays the same, however we would like to share what we have concentrated on, and what you should expect in upcoming months.
Simplification of the interface
We are currently preparing a couple of things that will significantly simplify the user interface and experience:
- Offer templates
We always listen to our customers, and one of the most frequent incoming requests was to change the offer creation process.
Offer templates — these allow everyone to create an offer with a few taps of the finger, and we’ll start with the templates for cryptocurrencies.
- Search
We are working on simplifying searching offers, which will allow finding the offers you need without having to browse every existing one.
