Hodl Hodl v1.21 new features: CoinMarketCap support, layout improvements, changes in payment methods and more

Today, we introduce new features on Hodl Hodl:
- CoinMarketCap support;
- Layout improvements;
- Changes in payment methods;
- Return of fee levels.

Coinmarketcap support
Today, we added CoinMarketCap as an option for tying the offer price. So from now on, every user is able to create an offer that ties the price to CoinMarketCap.
How does it work?
If you want to create an offer to buy/sell Bitcoin or Litecoin and tie the price to CoinMarketCap, you would do everything the same, with the only difference being: in the section “Price” select CoinMarketCap as the price reference, and choose the currency you’ll be paid in.
With the support of CoinMarketCap, more crypto-to-crypto pairs became available at Hodl Hodl.
Note: The list of currently supported cryptocurrencies, for which you can tie the price, depends on which crypto exchanges and price reference options we support:
- The current list: Binance, Bitstamp, Bitfinex, Bitpay, Coinbase, CoinMarketCap, Exmo, Kraken, and Localbitcoins.
- The list of currently supported cryptocurrencies that you can set the offer price in, to buy/sell Bitcoin and Litecoin:

Layout improvements
Currently, we are working in the direction of improving the design of Hodl Hodl, and today we are introducing the first round of the improvements.
In the beginning of January, our team updated the user dashboard and footer, which includes the pages linked in the footer. At the current moment, we are improving the layout of the offer list, so the user interface will be more precise and easier to understand, which is on pace to be implemented in the upcoming weeks.
One of the last steps in this direction, will be an update for the top of the site, and the user’s menu, which we believe our customers will like.
Changes in payment methods
Today we changed our payment methods a little, the following were affected:
- Revolut
This payment method was previously tied to the payment type “Online payment system”, and now it’s tied to the payment type “Bank wire”.
- National bank transfer;
- Transfer with specific bank;
These two payment methods were tied to the payment type “Bank wire” that was deleted from the exchange. Starting now, if you want to trade using a specific bank, you have to choose it as a payment method.
We remind our customers: if you do not see a payment method in the list, you can easily propose a new one on the page “Payment methods”.
In case you had enabled offers with any of these payment methods, you have to log in and update your offer. Additionally, we have emailed all the users whose offers should be updated.
Returning fee levels
In December of 2018 we announced an exchange fee discount for every user, which lasted up until today: for regular trades the exchange fee was 0.4% and for crypto-to-crypto trades the exchange fee was 0.25% per trade.
From now on, we return to the following standard exchange fees:
- Every regular user has 0.6% exchange fee;
- Every referred user has 0.55% exchange fee;
- Every user that has referred at least one active trader has 0.55% exchange fee;
- Every verified user has 0.5% exchange fee.
