Hodl Hodl to launch Lightning trading weeks
Hodl Hodl is launching Lightning trading weeks once per month, with the first coming on Wednesday, the 24th of July, 2019.
About
In June, 2019, we announced that Lightning trades are now available on the MAINNET version of the exchange, and the next month we recapped the results achieved.
Now, there are many offers and customers that are ready to complete trades on the Lightning Network, and we would like to use this opportunity to invite everyone to participate in the first Lightning trading week, that will take place from the 24th to the 31st of July, 2019.
What is Lightning trading week
Lightning trading week is basically an initiative we launched, during which we will:
- Do our best to complete the offers book
- Incentivize traders to participate by reducing the exchange fee to 0%
Trade workflow
Every trade at hodlhodl.com completes in a peer-to-peer manner, meaning that you trade directly with other people, and we only provide you a technical solution for this & the marketplace where you can find a counterparty. This allows you to trade in any country, using any payment system, for any currency.
During a trade, you buy bitcoins and receive them directly into your Lightning wallet & sell bitcoins directly from your Lightning wallet.
The trade workflow is the following:
- A contract is created between buyer and seller;
- Seller deposits bitcoins from his Lightning wallet to our Lightning wallet;
- Buyer pays the seller according to the agreed upon payment method;
- Seller releases bitcoins from our Lightning wallet directly to the buyers Lightning wallet.
