We are happy to announce that Hodl Hodl is now available for United States’ citizens/residents.
Beginning today any user who is a citizen/resident of US may buy and sell cryptocurrency with “Licensed” users on Hodl Hodl.
Who is a “Licensed” user?
A user who has a valid license to trade with US citizens and residents.
How does it work?
- Register with Hodl Hodl and select United States as your country in “Trading settings”
- Filter offer list to find all offers from “Licensed” users
- You may create offers in any country in the world, but only “Licensed” users may see them.
Currently we are working on allowing US citizens/residents to trade with both licensed and unlicensed users.
How does Hodl Hodl work?
All trades on Hodl Hodl occur directly between buyer and seller, without any middleman involved. Each time a contract is created between two parties, Hodl Hodl generates a unique cryptocurrency multisig escrow address on Bitcoin’s or Litecoin’s blockchain. The seller sends cryptocurrency from his wallet to this address, and when cryptocurrency is locked in escrow, the buyer sends fiat to the seller. The seller then releases cryptocurrency from escrow using his payment password, and the buyer receives it into his wallet.
What does Hodl Hodl offer?
- Trade without commission: free trading until July 2018;
- Secure multisig (P2SH) contracts, you control the key to funds in escrow;
- No verification needed;
- Global P2P trades;
- Referral program with referral payouts;
- We support Litecoin;
- All of Hodl Hodl’s escrow addresses are SegWit compatible.
